about coconuts

f you think a coconut is a brown, hairy fruit, you would in fact be wrong.

Theyre actually the enormous seeds of the coconut palm, and start their life fresh, green and full of juice.

Coconut palms grow on beaches, and are rare amongst plants in that they are propagated by the world’s ocean currents. Coconuts have evolved over aeons to transport life across vast oceans, and are perfectly adapted to the task. They can survive for months at sea as they drift in search of a distant beach on which to germinate. Indeed, evolution is so ingenious that it has designed the coconut to carry all the water it needs to germinate with it.

mazingly, coconuts can sprout as soon as they make landfall, without needing to wait for rain.

The role of coconut juice in coconut biology is to hydrate, nourish and protect the seed for up to a year - keeping the coconut fresh, vital and green on its arduous travels. The good news is that coco juice will have the similar effect on you: it will keep you fresh and vital. (However, you will not turn green. Quite the opposite, you will feel healthier and unbelievably refreshed).
